Thomas Schnalke
Managing Director, Düsseldorf Airport
After studying at the University of Lüneburg Mr Schnalke graduated in Business Economics.
From 1987 to 1993 he earned experience as controller and executive with Franz Haniel & Cie. GmbH and ELG Haniel GmbH. He worked with the Eisenlegierungs Handelsgesellschaft mbH as Head of the Commercial Department from 1993 to 1998. In 1999 he joined the airport business as Head of the Commercial Department with Hochtief AirPort GmbH and in November 2001 was appointed as Man-aging Director Finance with Düsseldorf International Airport.
At the Düsseldorf Airport Mr Schnalke is responsible for the Non Aviation Department, the Finance Department, Legal Affairs and Vehicle Management as well as the subsidiaries. He was instrumental in the process of outsourcing the IT department which now operates as a self-contained associated company.
